Collection Method Description

We add records of wells to BRACS database using data sets from other agencies and organizations. Each record in BRACS is a unique well record that is entered into BRACS database to set the BRACS Well_Id field. Relevant well information for all newly added wells is collected by TWDB BRACS staff using well header. Well location is measured by TWDB BRACS staff from well log header (based on OTLS) to check the accuracy of the existing values entered in the BRACS database or to create a new entry in the BRACS. Geophysical well log (GL) suite information such as logging tools and depth of investigation is captured from GL by TWDB staff.

Quality Control Level

Quality Assurance Description

QAQC checks are performed by TWDB BRACS staff to ensure all well header information and geophysical well log information is accurately captured. We also receive feedback from internal and external users regarding misplotted wells. Location checks are also performed on wells that appear misplaced.

Additional Information
