Collection Method Description

Well records are added to the BRACS database using data sets from other agencies and organizations, or from the TWDB Groundwater Database. Each well in the BRACS database is a unique record that is assigned to the BRACS Well_Id field. Well locations may be provided with the original data set or are determined by BRACS staff. Location methods can vary and are defined for each well in the BRACS database. Some well locations may be more accurate than others. Additional well records, including but not limited to geophysical well logs or measured water quality, may be available for well locations included herein.

Quality Control Level

Quality Assurance Description

Quality spot checks are performed by TWDB BRACS staff to ensure all well header information is accurately captured. We also receive feedback from internal and external users regarding wells that are mislocated. Location checks are also performed on wells that appear misplaced.
